The PHAIR Society Mini‑Series Begins Tomorrow

The first episode of The Deal With Animals’ coverage of the PHAIR Society’s 2025 animal‑advocacy conference goes live tomorrow morning — and I’m genuinely pleased with how this series has come together. It’s been months of conversations, editing, and careful shaping, and I’m excited to finally share it with you.

This mini‑series brings listeners inside one of the few spaces where researchers and advocates sit down together to examine how people think about animals — and why those beliefs are so hard to shift. Across five episodes, you’ll hear from psychologists, strategists, and movement leaders whose work is shaping the future of human–animal relations.

Alongside producing this series, I’ve been developing a set of workshops for conferences and professional gatherings — practical sessions on science communication, podcasting for advocacy, and how to make research accessible to wider audiences. Covering conferences has become a growing part of my work, and this PHAIR series is a good example of what that looks like: capturing the ideas in the room and bringing them to people who can’t be there in person.
